Not everyone likes these types of photographs, but I love to see how large animals reveal themselves. I find it surprising how easily they can disappear into the bush and this partly explains why some people are killed by them; they don’t see the elephant and, with its poor eyesight, the elephant may decide to defend itself by attacking.

This photograph is more interesting to me because of the colours of the environment. The salt in the soil and the colour of the leaves (due to the lack of water) suggest this could be a traditional winter scene.
