Title: Young zebra II
Photographer: Graham Elliott
Location: South Africa
Caption: Another view of the mother and foal in “Young zebra II”. Here you can see the ghost stripes on both animals. Newborn zebras have a lot of brown hair but this fades to black as they grow older.
Lions are a major predator of zebra but they can also be taken by other predators, especially when young.
