Title: Young impala
Photographer: Graham Elliott
Location: South Africa
Caption: Impala is one of the most common animals in Africa and has a wide range. This young animal was in a private game reserve in South Africa. They are one of the main prey animals for lions and other large cats in Africa.
This one is relaxing with a group of others although they do stay alert at all times. The black and white markings you can see on its rump are known as ‘follow-me’ markings and help the animals to stay together, especially when moving quickly.
