Title: Gray Langur
Location: KANHA NATIONAL PARK, MADHYA PRADESH, INDIA
Langurs are very common throughout India, much like the small vervet monkeys you’ll see if you go to Africa. There are several subspecies, and this is a photograph of a Northern Plains Gray Langur. These are found across northern and central India.
You’ll often see them near grazing animals such as chital. They have a symbiotic relationship and will work together to look for predators. They spend around half of their time on the ground and the other half in the trees, where they prefer to be in the highest branches.
