Curious kudus

I hadn’t come across kudus until I first visited Namibia some years ago. They are not (in my experience) one of the better-known antelope. They are approximately the size of a horse when fully grown and are surprisingly good at staying out of sight when they want to. They are found across southern and central Africa.

These two were part of a group we came across in the Etosha National Park and they were paying careful attention to where we were going. They can be quite nervous, so we were lucky to get close enough for me to get this photograph.
