Title: Chital

Photographer: Graham Elliott

Location:  Kanha National Park, India

The Chital is a small deer and is very common. Stags reach 90 cm (35 inches) and doe’s 70 cm (28 inches) at the shoulder.

Kanha National Park is in Madhya Pradesh which has a lot of forest areas. Tigers love this environment and Chital are one of their prey animals.

This particular Chital was keeping one eye on us to make sure we weren’t a threat. You can see the velvet on his antlers (deer have antlers and antelope have horns).

This limited edition fine art print comes with a certificate of authenticity with hologram, photographer’s signature and edition number in series. These prints will not be offered for sale again once the current editions sell out.
